1200 posts....who would have though.

This calls for a celebration...let me upload something cool...

Edit:

Alright, this is pretty much the greatest live performance of all time.

When Maynard sings the "I am too connected to you to slip away/fade away" it slaughters me everytime.

This is why I love music

Noyce.

Yay for Chris digging Iron & Wine! Boy With a Coin probably the best off the new shiz in my opinion.

Decent band from Austin, Texas (like many other great acts). Pretty rock-y stuff. Apparently this album was rumoured to be linked to the 9/11 terrorist attacks because the original album art showed an airplane on the cover with a caption reading "this plane will crash tomorrow" and the album was released in late August of 2001. People are retarded.

i just bought their newest album the other day, after first hearing them in this thread. i fucking love them and figured i owed it to them to buy at least one of their albums. i'm a total sucker for fender amps, clean and overdriven, expecially soaked in delay. and i found out i have the same delay pedal as one of the guys in the band!! like, oh my gawd!!

here's a request: big wreck's second album, "the pleasure and the greed". i just found out that they had made a second album, and i can't find a torrent for it (not surprising).

Does anyone have albums by The Mooney Suzuki, preferably the one with Shake That Bush Again.

The song is on a game that I"m playing, Burnout 3: Takedown, and I'm addicted to it. Can't seem to find it though.

Snap. The new New Pornographers leaked.

Oh edit I wish I could help with those requests... I really have no clue on Big Wreck or The Mooney Suzuki.

The Greens Keepers - Polo Club

you know them if you've watched their Lotion video on Youtube.

this is my favorite album I have purchased recently. It gets better as the album plays.

As it plays, you can hear Depeche Mode, Talking Heads, The Cure, even a little bit of B-52's. it's the best 80's album released in 2007.

Note: this link does not have Track 1, because its kind of the weakest one on the album, IMO

Never heard of... will definitely take a listen.

But you made the reputation something to live up to by mentioning Depeche Mode, Talking Heads and The Cure so it better be good. ;)

Two years of global party rocking have certainly not been wasted on the Greenskeepers, as evidenced by the latest addition to their impressive catalog, The Polo Club: a guitar-driven, post-punk mash-up that leaves you feeling like you're in on a great inside joke. They have already amassed a serious underground following with a wide variety of releases, including a full-length album on the prestigious Classic Recordings. (Their reputation as a group of musically innovative pranksters was cemented by the overwhelming success of "Lotion," an ode to Buffalo Bill.) The Polo Club--as infectious as it is silly, as brilliant as it is bizarre--displays the depth, diversity, and, ultimately, the longevity that Greenskeepers fans have come to expect. With their impressive tour and release schedule, remix work, it seems the foursome is determined not to let them down anytime soon. --Anish Acharya

Pretty fun listen.

My favourites were probably

Bloodclots

Coconuts

Martini Lunches

The Chair

^^^ Tended to like the ones without vocals, apparently. The voice was just "meh" to me compared to the music.
