Here's a simple question: what does Unicorns of 911 mean? I noticed he changed his email address and Flickr account from his own name to Unicorns of 911 around the time of his divorce, but I never understood what it meant.

if you want to read into it, i suppose you could conclude that unicorns, being mythic creatures, could represent the myths about 9/11 or the pretty untruths that people tell themselves to justify the actions afterward.

 

but perhaps that's reading too much into it.

It might just be a bit difficult for me to mentally disassociate that video and song from the phrase/name "unicornsof911", at least for a few days, but I shall try.
