In the 19 minutes since posting that post I hate the album less, but the first 11 seconds of "Assassin" still sounds like it should be in a made for TV Movie of Kinght Rider.

I like the change they made with the new album but I know a lot of people don't. And as for the Radiohead comparisons, I never quite got that.

Pablo Honey is a great rock album. It's funny that people who hate it always claim that Creep is the best song on the cd--it's one of the worst songs on the cd! Well, next to How Do You?

 

Also, the Muse singer sounds more like Jeff Buckley and not Thom Yorke.

i agree, they are the best band.. bar none.

 

oneeighty, you might be relieved to hear that their next album is supposedly some kind of 'progressive piano rock epic' with a lot more of their classical roots in tact. Matt says there's gonna be a couple 10-minute plus songs on the album to look forward to. It sounds as if it will be completlely different then anything they've ever tried. I'm already excited, granted these are just the early ideas.

I read the words 'progressive rock piano epic' and I all but salivated. Thanks for sharing.
