He's played in Germany, and I think just around the Buffalo area in the US

I wish he'd come back to eastern Canada... I've never seen him preform live.

Detroit, Michigan. That one was fun.

he'll never play outside of the northeastern us ever again.

...which is just a goddamn shame. I wonder how much of that could be due to his own personal preference and whether he'd even be able to get any bookings in the US outside the northeastern states. With his reputation for being "outspoken" (which is just such a BS way to say "honest") I imagine that there are plenty of venues, booking agents and promoters in the US that won't touch him.

Of course, I'm making some assumptions here: how well known is Matt (or even MBG) in the US? I honestly have no idea. Anyone?

supply and demand, my friend.

They do not play mg on the radio or on mtv in the US. he didn't even release his last few records here. So I highly doubt outside of the norther states where candian radio/media is available that MG would have much if any of an audience.

Let's just hope Matt won't try to re-invent himself and release a dance album.

He's played Buffalo, and He played Providence, RI(My hometown)and even though I bought tix, I couldn't go...I had to travel for work. That has been my only opportunity to see him nearby so far.

I'm never so glad to live in Buffalo than when I realize Matt plays here more than almost any other US city.

You're pretty lucky on that one, Beth...May have to move to Buffalo...

I would like Matt to come back to Detroit. The last time he was scheduled to come he had to cancel.

What? He was only ever scheduled there once (as far as I know) at St Andrews Hall and that was a good and completely awesome. Am I blacking out again?

He played here in Pittsburgh in March of 2001. There were not more than 200 people in the venue. There was plenty of time to hang out with the band after the show.

I wish he would come to Seattle, I mean it is right down the road from Vancouver with lots of great little venues.

Aw well, I guess going to Vancouver to see him is not so bad.

i should write him a letter and ask him politely to come play in texas. he could do it in my yard and then maybe the neighbours would figure out that there really IS music besides what they play on the xm classic rock station.
