Fall of Man has some moments like that, like the first time he says "we'll stick to the plan. the fall of man" and then it goes all quiet for a second, before everything comes back in. So cool.

yup... I was gonna say something cheezy like we all hate MG and don't know what your talking about but..

fall of man - that exact same part - and several others just an amazing song.

suburbia

boy and his machine gun

heather's like sundays

wispering in the dark

Gen-x acoustic

i miss new wave(I'm gonna die in coquitlam(sp)...getting laid by a golf course...)

ptd - yup echo the what everyone else said. I don't think i'd want to be a car full of you guys during that part of the song.

Flight Recorder, pretty much the whole song

music always has that effect on me: when a song really has an effect on me, it makes me shiver... from MG? "the rat who would be king", that song always makes me drop some tears because of the lyrics, the music and Matt's voice... and right now, "Black helicopter" is having that effect on me...

so long mrs. smith, and fearless, i don't know why it just does

Ocean really does it for me.

"The Rat Who Would be King" and "Fall of Man" give me shivers when they get all slow-sounding and incredibly awesome.

His best work = The middle build up shenenegags in avalanche...

starting at "if everyones a casualty..."

That part is killer.

love the original. the acoustic version on rooms, not so much. kinda took the guts out of it.

Because it has no passionate "head light morning glow"!

Because it has no passionate "head light morning glow"!

yes! i miss the organ too.

edit: no, wait. it's got the head light morning glow thing. it doesn't have the "and this is it, this is it, prime time deliverance" bit.

Oh, that's right. Well, that's the part it's missing because it's the best part of the song.

Pretty much any of his longer songs...

Born to Kill, A Boy and His Machine Gun, Avalanche, Prime Time, Rat Who Would..., Actually, pretty much anything off of AoB gives me shivers... that whole album. Even Anti-Pop.

Depending on the situation, it probably could be felt with any of his songs.

when you're finished struggling

are you free tonight?

did they stick you in here cause you weren't working right?

there's a TV in every room

and it's free even pay-per-view

which you'll need if no one's going to visit you

If I had to choose one song, it'd be Suburbia, which I think many of you can agree on.

Definitely, he's (and the band) have made some music that I better be able to hear when I'm dead, because I can't live without them.
