Why are you so thrilled about this song? It's not that good or amazing.

Lyrically, I would agree, but the music is great.

i'm starting to like it a little more, now. i had it stuck in my head for 8 hours at work yesterday. guess it's a grower not a shower. still hope the rest of the album's better. i'm surprised it hasn't leaked yet.

I'll buy the album when it comes out, but this sound isn't all that spectacular. It is very Left of the Murder-y though.

Currently listening to the new album!

Go to www.etceteraforums.com to download it. That site pretty much has everything.

Oh boy! Move over A Crow Left Of The Murder...we got a new wiener. Fuck, that was great.

Sounds good from what I heard so far but I'm not sure I like the production on these last two albums... sort of makes the music harder to get into for me.

I don't know, its a sort of style they adopted on Crow and as soon as the distorted guitar comes in on "A Kiss To Send Us Off" I could hear it. Its sort of a tinny/high EQ kind of sound that makes the songs sound like they're being played on myspace at reduced quality. I can hear it in the drums as well as all the heavy parts. Its definately a departure from their Make Yourself, Morning View, overly polished sound, but I think I'm more a fan of the old production than this new style.

I'm just not a fan. Other than that, I'm not wholly feeling this album at this point but it really seems like a grower. I think when I read the lyrics I'll start to like the songs more.

Picked the album up today and I love it. Very Crow Left the Murder-y, but with the edge they had Make Yourself and prior back.

I'm listening to it for the first time right now. I'm curently on Love Hurts, and I dig the CD so far.

Edit: Does the intro to Oil and Water remind anyone else of 21st Century Living? (not the vocals mind you, just the instrumentation.)

it hadn't, but it might now that you said something. i love the intro ring modulator funkification on pendulous threads. that kinda stuff is why mike einziger is guitar hero number two in my heart.
