Borat isn't playing in my town! For the love of all that is Kazakh why?!

;)

maybe because you live in peterborough. Try living somewhere that at least kind of matters in the grand scheme of things.

I think that 20th Century Fox scaled it back from approx 2,000 screens because some initial test screenings weren't very positive (how that could be, I've no idea). So they reduced it to about 800 screens for opening weekend and apparently will widen the release depending on its first weekend take and resulting word of mouth. Probably a good idea if it really takes off (which I hope it will) and becomes a late-season favourite.

Wouldn't that be awesome (though unlikely) if it's still in theatres come Christmas time?

I'm gonna try and see it this week. It doesn't seem to be playing at the theater I typically go to, so I'd have to go a few extra miles, but it'll probably be worth it.

like safe behind your teeth?

yeah, it's not even a real place and the movie is playing here! what does that tell you about peterborough?

I saw it last night, and though it was far above the 'average' comedy movie in terms of laugh out loud moments, I still can't help but feel a little bit disappointed. Don't really know why.

I loved that whole sequence - totally unexpected, totally hilarious!

That bit and the part with him jerking off outside the Victoria's Secret store in New York got the biggest reactions from the nearly packed house I saw it in last weekend.

No way. It was all about the scene when he's with the gangsters, asking them how to be cool, and then he gets kicked out of the hotel.

"We just a coupla niggas, no hoes."

I saw it on opening day and it was hilarious. My favorite part is when they stay at the elderly jewish peoples house. "The jew has already taken shape as an old woman, she has already tried once to poison me" or the rodeo scene

I just saw it a few days ago, and unfortunately it didn't live up top my expectations. I didn't like the "plot", or the large amount of scripted situations.

Guess who I met today!? Ken Davitian also known as Azamat Bagatov, the "producer" from Borat! he was speaking at the UofM today. it was HILARIOUS! I'll post the pic of us when I can!

no and no. he talked, showed us his audition tape (which will be on the DVD) and signed photos and stuff.
