It's like myspace, but built for university students. You can list your classes/res/major/whatever, and see other people who are also in your class/res/major/whatever.

I think it started out mostly for students and expanded from there. The high school networks suck, though, because you have to get an invite from someone who is already in that network.

I actually like it a lot better than MySpace. It's much more focused on networking than screwing around.

Yea Myspace is all about the screwing around, by the sounds of this FaceBook thing it's all about getting to know other Secondary School students in the attempt to find people with something in common.

i have it but i dont enjoy it as much as the screwyness of myspace. i keep it around because a lot of people from highschool use it and its a good way to keep in touch with people you still like but dont talk to every day with on MSN.

 

and of course, just like the other internet social networking websites, its great for crusing for hotties in your area ;) .
