Music To Listen To At 3 Am With The Tv On Mute

Recommended Posts

I highly recommend next time you can't sleep just to turn on the tv, put it on mute, grab your cd player/iPod and listen to music. Nothing to hard or loud, just smooth acoustic or quiet music. Trust me, you'll do some of your deepest thinking at this moment.

I recommend anything by Hayden or Disc 2 of In A Coma.

Has anyone else found themselves doing this, or am I just an odd duck?

No, I do it all the time. It's usually Avalanche that I listen to when I can't sleep at 3am with the t.v. usually blarring though....

Hayden's Skyscraper National Park is probably the ultimate CD for driving around northern ontario in the winter ;)

I fall asleep to Neil Young a lot, not because he is boring, just because some of his stuff is good light listening.

I like listening to Radiohead's OK Computer about that time.

if you're going to check out Hayden, definetly check out Closer I Get and Everything I Long For.

they've both helped me through some tough nights back in my "why won't (she'll remain nameless) love me?!?!" sad sack high school days

;)

nope, those pining after girl(s) days are way over for me

The Charity of Night by Bruce Cockburn

In a silent way by Miles Davis

are both late night favourites of mine

Jazz is great to listen to late a night especially Charlie Parker. Also if your in a more modern mood Portishead is great to help you chill and fall asleep

Charlie Parker seems like better day time music to me. Go for Miles Davis or Wayne Shorter at night.

I used to do this often with Radiohead's Kid A. Fuck, that is one relaxing album.

I listen to Feel Good Lost by Broken Social Scene, all instrumental soothingness.

Sigur Ros-Takk

That is one good relaxing cd
