Growing up, what was the first radio/music television song you remember hearing that you liked?

You know...a song that wasn't a nursey rhyme...or a Weird Al song.....or a kiddie song?.....you know what I mean??

For me...it was

Green Day - Basket Case....heard it/saw it on MTV one summer

good stuff

anyone else?

I honestly can't remember, but it was probably Big League by Tom Cochran.

I also remember really digging Ironic by Alanis Morisette and that New Radicals song. I forget the anme, but it was like "don't give up; you've got a reason to live, one last chance, you only get what you give" or something.

I think it was a Barenaked Ladies song. 'One Week', probably.

As for my answer:

Peaches by The Presidents Of The United States Of America

I'm not sure it was the song itself, or the video, or a combination but something clicked in with me.
