I agree though, Mike McCready is a guitar god! but was that him playing with them on SNL? If so.. he has lost a lot of weight!

I'm a huge PJ fan, saw them when they played in Glasgow(UK)a few years ago, will be seeing them in a couple of months at the Leeds Festival ;)

 

Love the new single, bit more punch to it than the last few. Can't wait for the album.

Oh my god, I downloaded their new album last night and it's fucking brilliant! I am so in love with it. It is going to be one of those cd's where I'm going to buy it no matter what. I love it so much. I think it's almost better then "Ten" which is a hard feet to do. Right now my favourite song is "Army Reserve." It just sound awesome. Pearl Jam are back with a vengence. Don't judge the album on "World Wide Suicide," because that's the weakest track, but if you listen to the whole album from start to finish, it fits right in to it. It's one of those albums where you just have to sit and listen to it and be blown away by it.

I havn't heard it yet, but better than Ten you say? I'm not sure if I beleive that. Ten is an amazing album, I doubt they will ever record one better than Ten.

Well, perhaps not better then "Ten" but it's pretty high up there. If it doesn't exceed it, it meets it.

I really got into them a little while back after listening to Vs. I had Ten for a while before that, but it didn't impact me nearly as much as Vs. did. I'm definitely loving the new album at the moment.

Pearl Jam is a great album in whole. The artwork is neat aswell. Didn't expect the inside artwork to be like it is.

I love Pearl Jam's new cd. It is one of the best works they have ever done, with the exception to Vs. which is my favorite, and Vitalogy which is my 2nd fav. The album is not good as Ten as I hear some people say, but it comes really close.

I'm surprised that the music for the (in my opinion) best song on the album "Severed Hand" was written by Vedder. Usually his arrangements are really weak.

I totally agree while Severed Hand is one of the best tracks Vedder has ever done, it is not my favorite on the new cd. I am really into Marker in the Sand, some of Mike's best music in a while.

i never had a problem with them until they destroyed the song Last Kiss by J. Frank Wilson & the Cavaliers. i have never heard any band ever fuck up a song so bad in my life.

They day this album came out I bought 4 albums...

Pearl Jam, Tool, Gomez and Glen Phillips...at least the first 3 were only $10 a pop.

Seeing them in Boston this week...at least once, maybe twice.

A extremely solid release by Pearl Jam again (as expected). Though, I would much rather listen to No Code or Binaural over this album, any day.
