for the fri show I'll probably be there 1 or 2 hours before but it also depends if the rain stops by then 'cause it's been pouring all day today which doesn't make line-ups any fun. I've waited outside during winter with double-layered socks in boots years back but come on, it's supposed to be spring weather now! (april showers brings may flowers)

I wonder how many tickets they have sold. The Port theatre holds something like 800 people...I'm in Row 4 I think...

I'm looking for just 1 ticket for the Thursday nights show in Vancouver.  I'm in from Halifax on a quick business trip and would love to catch MG in his hometown.

Usually they will release a few tickets at the venue the day of the concert, even when it is "sold out."

 

You could try calling the East Van Cultual Centre and asking them if they will be releasing any more tickets for the Thursday show.

I can't wait for the Friday show; it'll be my fourth time seeing Matt. I've never seen him in my hometown here in Kelowna though, I hear he doesn't play there anymore which is sad but then again this town has such a pitiful taste in music so it doesn't bother me that I just see Matt when he goes to his hometown four hours outside of my city.

I really hope the van shows don't get affected but the nasty flu thing. I've had it for about a month now and it just doesn't go away.

As of now, it looks like the Vancouver shows are all still going ahead.

 

Anything could change between now and the showtimes, but it's looking good.

Anyone know of a good place to park around the venue? Victoria and Commercial all seem to be residents only.

 

Also if anyone in the Coquitlam/PoMo/Anmore area needs a lift there/back lemme know and I'd be happy to assist. Got two seats. PM me.

Brittania Secondary, which is a 5 minute walk away. Check out www.vecc.bc.ca and check the directions for a map of parking and such.

The Show tonight was so good. I should made a bootleg it would have been perfect! Does matt still post the set list on his site? I cant seem to find it.

 

oh, and if anybody has gotten any pics of tonights show (vancouver april 20th) I would really like to get ahold of one. perferably the opening performance if possible.

How was the lineup before the show? Is the venue as good as its been hyped up to be? I'm worried about how the sound would be if my seats were only so-so. Any thoughts would be appreciated! (I'm way too used to seeing MG @ the Commodore.)

Great venue. It ended up being GA though. No assigned seats. Get there first, get the best seats. I got there at 530 cause I decided to walk around Commercial a bit and gave up and lined up and talked to a few guys for a while and ended up getting literally front row center. (I was the guy in the black coexist t-shirt)

That was an amazing show and the venue was gorgeous (though rather lacking in leg room where I was sitting)

They do check you at the door right?

I don't know if they were checking people for cameras at the door, but quite a few people were using them inside (myself included) and I didn't see anyone stopped from doing so.
