Am I Missing Something Here?

From today's NY Times online....

OTTAWA (AP) -- Canadians voted Monday in an election sure to dramatically change the country's political landscape. All the polls predict a victory for Conservative leader Stephen Harper. That would end nearly 13 years of Liberal Party rule, shift the country to the right and move to improve relations with the U.S. If Prime Minister Paul Martin somehow eked out a victory, he would likely head a weak minority government and find it difficult to get legislation past a divided House of Commons.

Apparently, the rest of the world is a day ahead of the rest of us, and they accidentally slipped the secret.

Maybe this is one of those fedex commercial type things... they pretend to live ahead a day of the rest of the world in case their packages arrive late.

I watched about 15 minutes of an american news channel yesterday and they didn't even mention it. Not even on the scroll on the bottom, though they have so much shit on there it takes about 30 minutes to start repeating itself again

Jon Stewart has made Canadian politics funny in in a way Canadian comedians haven't done since Rick Mercer was on This Hour Has 22 Minutes.

Fox's website allegedly refers to use having elected a new president... I haven't checked for myself...
