At The Drive-in

[davidedward]

i once heard that at the drive in werent officially broken up there were on an indefinite hiatus. does anyone know for sure?

[Ravenous Yam]

Well they did split into two entirely seperate bands (Mars Volta and Sparta), so i would say it's likely pretty permanent. Creative differences, you know.

[Jarrod]

i think they're gone. they were awesome, but good things do come to an end!

what if they stayed together, would their music turn to shit? i think so.

[borntohula]

yep, i doubt they'll reform, but they're on good terms, so who knows? a dude from sparta just recently left camp for the mars volta.

[saturnine]

atdi reached their creative pinnacle as a unit. re-forming would be counter-productive.

[Shiri]

Good thing that they broke up or we wouldn't have The Mars Volta. I never got into At The Drive In or Sparta.
