Away Laughing on a Fast Camel

Well, I've been waiting for this book forever and evers and I finally bought it last Saturday. There was only one left in Chapters and through my many connexions (okay fine, this girl I chat with), I got it. It's so good!

 

In the U.K. it's called And That's When It Fell Off in My Hand. *snicker* Anyway, in this one, The Sex God has gone off to Kiwi-a-gogo-land to snog sheep and leaves Georgia to demonstrate extreme glaciosity to les boys. But when the lead singer of the Stiff Dylans shows, Georgia decides to seduce him (with much help, advice, and snogging from Dave the Laugh).

 

Just to show you how completely awesome this book is, I give you excerpt.

 

As we walked on, Dave was looking at me in a looking-at-me way.  Which I hate.

"You just can't resist a lead singer, can you, Georgia?  He's flash."

I said, "He's not flash, he's Italian, that's what they are like."

Dave said, "When I saw him, he was carrying a handbag."

"That's not a handbag, that's a...er...wallet thing."

"It's a bag he carries in his hand, known as a handbag."

I said quickly, not necessarily bothering to involve my brain in the process, "He keeps his revolver in it."

I've never heard of this series before. :S Is the series called The Sex God? How much does it cost?

I think the actual series is called Confessions of Georgia Nicolson. The first one is entitled Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging. I highly suggest you read them.

I saw a few copies today ($24). I'll look for it at the library before I get it though. ;) I really want to read it having seen how much you all seem to like the series.

Ha. I finished it in a day. I was in the middle of a sneeze but started laughing too hard so the sneeze went away. Very unsatisfying.
