Actually, I think Parachutes was their best. They sounded fresh then. Now they're just repeating themselves and sometimes they come out with something good (The Scientist, Fix You etc)

The video for Talk is awesome! Although I'm still not sure why they stole his button. I'm glad they made that their next single... I really dislike Speed of Sound and Fix You.

I love about 60% of the album; a lot of the material towards the end gets uninteresting for me.

its a good cd overall i think, got some good tunes, yes they do sound alike, but doesnt every band? cause they stick with one genre, and it makes them sound roughly the same. and personally i dont think that make believe is the worst album this year, its a fun album, pretty upbeat, it is a disappointment if you are a hardcore weezer fan, but i think that they didnt miss by much with it.

C'mon. Your defence of the album is that for people who aren't very familar with Weezer it's not that bad?

i've been a big weezer fan for many years and i think that make believe is awesome, their best since pinkerton...and really, thats the best i could've hoped for...

oh yeah, the video for talk is awesome, definitely better than most of their videos where chris martin just walks around singing in slow motion

You know, saying it's the best since Pinkerton isn't saying much at all. Weezer in the new millenium has been just disappointment after disappointment.

But seriously, Make Believe, awesome?

Where? Name me one awesome song. The only redeeming factor of that album is maybe "Freak Me Out".

I love the Scientist, but that's the only coldplay love i hold.

I've always loved Yellow too, even though it's simple and rather stupid. Since the first time I heard it I liked it.

i actually hated coldplay upon first listen. i hated them for awhile too. that was, until i really got into britpop and started to realize that bands like coldplay and bloc party were the next generation.
