That was different (kinda). I was just passing along a song that had leaked that day. I didn't post a biography of the Strokes and multiple songs.

The whole "here's an artist and here's what they sound like" is the entire purpose of a music thread. It's about opening your ears to new sounds.

Music news, music discussion, etc.

 

 

 

And my Strokes post had newsworthiness. It leaked that day. I wasn't just saying "Know who's cool? The Strokes."

It is more than that though, people do discuss music. In threads. In the threads that introduce people to new bands, or re-introduce them to ones they already know.

If not for this music thread, I proably never would have extended my music collection to what it is today.

 

Hearing about a new band, or even an old one, and giving them a try to see if you like is what this forum is all about.

 

If you think it is boring, then you should post elsewhere.
