Doom looks so bad I can't even believe it.. MSN gave it 0.5/5.. Looks like yet another bad game-movie conversion.. I still can't understand why they'de put in the First person shooter camera shots.. nobody except the gamers are going to like that.

Its a movie that I plan on avoiding like one would avoid a flock of 13 year old girls high on the latest Pop Princess.

I'm going to see it at one point, mainly because I'm a mark for movies with the Rock in it, and since I think it'll actually be good. I don't listen to the critics on anything.

It was actually good. It had a lot more of a story than I expected and the story was decent. Only one part for about 5 minutes had the first person view and it was about the best part. If you played the game you're going to like it, the BFG makes an appearance.

Guy...Trust me...Saw it last night. IT WAS AWSOME. I agree with above first person part was seriously the best (especially if your a gamer)

 

Audience was so funny too cause just about everyone there was either high or drunk.

I think they should stop turning popular/no plot/stupid games into movies. None of these games have enough story to back a full movie. The only games worthy of film adaptation are the old school 1990 point and click adventure games (Broken Sword, Toonstruck, etc..)

If you like shit blowing up, it's great. Plus part of the movie is shot in the first person.

I can't wait to see how theyre going to screw up Splinter Cell, Halo and Half Life. As for Doom, Im in no rush to see it. I might watch it when it's on TV, but I don't think I'll spend money to see it before that it.

It was pretty bad... saw it today just because I was a doom fan. Would have been a LOT better had it followed the original story line from doom1/2...

My flatmate saw it tonight and said it was rather pathetic, but better than he expected. He had very, very low expectations.

 

I may rent it or see it when it comes to the local $2 theatre.

Now wouldn't that be exactly why they made the movie?? For the people that play the game! So why wouldn't they add that point of view in the movie.....it's a little inside joke for the people in the theatre who have played or seen the game which I would say is probably 100% of the audience.
