Matthew Good Lyrics Are Disjointed?

I think that the AoB album in and of itself is pretty disjointed and schizophrenic. It veers between extreme tenderness and extreme, well I can't come up with a good word for it but I guess maybe angry or hard would best describe the rest. There's very little middle ground to it, which I think makes it a fascinating album.

haha, this is what I wrote down on saturday night while extremelly intoxicated. Don't really remember writing it as it was right around when I passed out I think, but anyways It's kinda on topic so I'll post it word for word:

"Matthew Good lyrics are like algerbra, each song having its own share of unknowns and variables. All of which also having their own formulas. Using the formulas and variables together allows for a much better understanding of the song being sung"

ALL music has to have a formula or it won't be good. It's just if you start to use the formula for more than 1 or 2 songs then you start to suck.

rofl touche Evan of Edmonton. Touche.

(i meant that each song has to have a particular structure and must follow a certain pattern of rhyme/theme/etc...)

I have suffered the consequences for not being specific.

I was refering to the horribly over used pop music formula, created by producers and record execs.

I thought it would be obvious what I meant, guess not. Ilearned my lesson.

There is no question that they are "manic and disjointed." Personally, that's why I like them so much. Firstly, they're different than that other rhyming bullshit you hear, and they kind of fit with my personality. I can be pretty manic and disjointed at the best of times.

Some of lyrics are hard to figure out but that's what makes them so intriging, i'd rather listen to the lyrics i don't understand than 99% of the other music out there
