Chutes Too Narrow was amazing. Next album should rock, too. I haven't heard much off their first album, but what I have heard has nothing on CTN.

yeah first heard their stuff on the movie garden state, which was great by the way, i've been a fan ever since. new album should be great.

no yu begin wher i end, you should really listen to Oh, Inverted World. I'll admit its not as good as Chutes Too Narrow, but it's still pretty great.

without trying to sound like a prick, it's actually just Elbow, although I'm not that familar with them, but they did have a track on that Help! comp.

I can't really get into The Shins. They're one of those bands that you WANT to like but still dont. Their lyrics are good, i just can't dig their sound.
