I'm not sure if you get this station in the states, but anyway. yeah.

 

I used to watch it when mainstream rock was cool. And they used to play cool videos. They even used to have a request program; half an hour of requests whereby you could request any video you wanted. That kept changing formats until it ended up what it is today. "M.O.D. - much on demand!".

 

They fill the room with emo kids and watch all the most popular videos of the week. And they let YOU choose which video you want to see...out of the 3 most popular songs of the week. i.e. billy talent, sum41, ashley simpsoncarey. Gee thanks! They'll even take your phone requests, if it's a song they planned on playing anyway.

I've given up on Much, whenever they play videoflow they just play new songs. Who wants to see a video that you will see a million times!!!??? Screw em!

I just watch Much for Going Coastal, The New Music, and The Wedge. I do every now and then however stop for a few minutes to watch something of another program.

What the hell is up with their new vj, Matt Buble(?)? I never really liked the vjs (except Bradford) but this guy is fucking horrible. Not only is he as dumb as a brick but he's also equally tactless, annoying, horribly unfunny and just an overall asshole.

I don't even care a lot about Much Music, but i'm still waiting for the guy to let a sexist comment slip on tv so they can fire that shit for brains.

Best VJ lineup: Rick Campenelli, Braford Howe, Jen Hollet, George Strombolopougous, and Amanda Walsh, and of course Rainbow!

 

They had such a cool to them, i don't know if they were working together at the same time but they were all great!

They've had some pretty horrible VJs lately. That Leia girl, who's always on with Matt, is more vaccuous than a vegetable. And, y'know, i was never a big fan of Rick-the-Temp, but I miss him in comparison to that skinny-armed, blonde pretty boy they have now.

 

I also miss Rachel Perry. MMM, Rachel - how can Canada win you back? We'll go to war over you! ;)

i too remember the old days when they used to play good music, but now i only watch it when i sit down with my friend dylan and we start immitating the crappy rap and then we get tired and cant keep up with the B.S.

its not like it use to be. i thought for a while it was going to get better but nope. Leah or however its spelt is alright at times, but Matte just tries to hard. i perfered Rainbow, Brad and Amanda. but that's just me talking.

 

its just seems like they play such mainstream crap all the time. the flavour of the week shit. change it up. and Leah and Matte desperately NEED to do RESEARCH on an artist before conducting an interview on MOD. Don't just start asking them the same old questions you'd ask your buddies.

Much Music blows, and has for some time. Matt and the emo kid (devin or something) really suck. So does Leah, but I think she's hot so I'll let it slide. The curly haired chick and whatshername who does the news are the only ones I can stand.

 

They've almost completely transformed into MTV, soon there will be no music videos at all.

see, I would dispute that Rachel is (was) a bad VJ - now, *I* haven't seen her on VH1, but when she was on Much, she did some good, intelligent interviews...as did George Strombo, Rick-the-Temp, Amanda Walsh (you have to look for her wink to the audience to see it though...) and of course Ed-The-Sock! We've been forgetting about Ed....oh, is he still around though? I haven't seen him on air in a while, and i think that was for Fromage 2004...

Bradford How was pretty annoying actually, Ed The Sock, and George Strombo have been the only ones that I have found to be not that annoying.

What made George so good was that he actually knew what music was and what it sould be. He was a great VJ! I think he's on a CBC show now.

Yeah, "The Hour" - pretty interesting stuff. It only gets lame when he interviews rock stars though (funny enough), because it's supposed to be mostly current events...well, i shouldn't make that a blanket statement. I saw two rock-star interviews - the one with K-Os and Ben (from Billy Talent) was good, but he interviewed Dave Grohl, and it was kinda lame...but that's just my opinion

 

only bad thing is that The Hour is on hiatus until september now...

i don't watch much really simply cause although videos are entertaining they also ruin music. and also they play a lot of rap and hip hop, not saying there is anything wrong with that it's just not my bag. the new music i can deal with however.

If Much keeps playing shit that has nothing to do with hearing music i.e. Newlyweds, Pimp my Ride, Ashlee Simpson Show, Till Death Do Us Part, etc, they will officially turn into MTV!

 

Although you have a better chance of seeing old shit on Much More Music, they still play toned-down everything. And I think they spend way too much time plastering their gem; Karina Hubers face all over everything. Fuck she isn't even good looking!

 

Well I say we start our own music station where we only play good music that isn't fucking the "in" thing at the moment! <----thats probably exactly what Much Music said when they first started!
