I don't know if it's been posted or not. I tried to search the board to see if it has but no luck.

Just wondering what everyone's favorite lyrics in Matt's songs?

Lost out on this highway the passing cars, they blind me

because I would be there if I was a better man (Hopeless)

Never turn your back on me again (Weapon)

Everyone's a captain baby, ship of fools (Near Fantastica)

She takes her clothes off for the Japanese

I take my clothes off whenever it suits me (Flashdance II)

No one gets out of this (Anti-pop)

Like Satan/Lonely/So I'm with him (Born to Kill)

If your friends don't like it/You can tell them for me to/

Fuck off, fuck off, fuck off, fuck off (Rico)

Those are some of my favorite. There's more, but I can't think right now.

What's yours?

If everyone's a casualty

Then take your time there ain't no trouble

If the weather's fine and we're feeling crazy

There's always drinks and dancing in the rubble

I'm spinning and you're spinning

And the world's spinning and we're laughing

And I'm charming, the devil's charming

And we're ruined but we're building

And I'm selling and you're counting

The world's stopping but we keep going

And we're ruthless and we're cunning

And I'm heir to it all

Also: The pink pills are for your sanity

And: A Robot heart for a robot boy

who dreamed he was a lion

Our lives in these empty spaces aside

Perhaps we are most peaceful when our sanity's on edge -Push

Love ain't something i remember, trust ain't something i afford no one, lately i remember to forget -Can't get shot in the back

Jen, I'll bring them to their knees -Truffle Pigs (very last line, lyric book says Damn instead of Jen but if you listen really close you'll hear Jen in the last line).

Cheers.

I always thought it was 'Then', but Jen's his wives name right?

listen really close, it's Jen, and yes that's his wife. i was really surprised the first time i heard it cause i have listened to the song tons of times and never noticed.

Cheers.

Well, it makes sense. He's like telling his wife that he'll bring them to their knees. I've always thought that he's taking about his former band mates for MGB in that song. I've also think that he's taking about them in Weapon when he says 'Never turn your back on me'.

well in an iterview on MM, he did say that that song best described the breaking up of the band.

Which, Weapon or Truffle Pigs?

I see. Although, I think all of the Avalance CD deals with some of that as well.

i always thought the avalanche cd seemed more politcal than personal. but hey i'm gonna listen for a personal side next time i throw it on. maybe i'll end up with a little of both. politically personal or personally political. lol

cheers.

I think it's a bit of both. Now, WLRRR is all political.

yeah, but it has a personal side as well. arrggg. they all are multi funtional cds. lol.

That's right. He's gotta put his personal feelings into his politics right.

I'm not 100%, but I'm more than 50% sure, its not his wife Jen.

It's the other Jen he knew and loved.
