My favourites are: Michelle Branch, Chantal Kreviazuk, Alanis Morisette, and Sarah McLachlan (although Sarah's voice gets annoying after a while to me). 3/4 are Canadian. ;)

I love to sing to their songs.

 

I like "Explain It To Me" by Liz Phair (from the Thirteen soundtrack) but I don't remember any other of her songs. I might download some more though.

 

As for Avril, I also like to sing to her songs but I don't really like her as a person.
