Sometime in the early 90's they made a Super Mario Bros movie with Bob Hoskins and i forget who else, but i just bought it and i havnt seen it in years. I thought it was a cool movie

Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo were Mario and Luigi. I thought that the movie was so-so. I thought it was pretty weird seeing Dennis Hopper as Bowser.

I think when making a video game movie you have to decide whether it's going to take place in magical video game land or the real world. You can't combine both, and Super Mario Bros. is proof.

If it's any consolation, it's not much of a thread.

 

Were there two movies or something? I have a vauge memory, but umm, I know of the one with the dinosaurs... was there another.

hey. u can make fun of the mario movie all u want but i'll be damned if I stand by and allow u to insult Bob Hoskins.

well im glad we got that straight. u know there are tribes in indonesia where u can be killed for disrespecting the great Hoskins.

They really need to make a Zelda movie.

That's funny that you say that. I've been writing a Zelda script and if I ever manage to finish I'm going to seriously try and sell it.

 

Maybe I should start another thread and see if any Zelda fans have any input on what they'd want to see in a Zelda movie. I'll start it in the lounge if anyone's intersted.
