Did I Miss Something?

I was keeping pretty up to date with all of the recent developements, but I don't get all these people who say "since he might be done with music (but probably not)." Where and when was it ever implied that he was done with music? He just quit the whole internet scene, no?

Well I know for a while he was contemplating not making another album... but then Jen talked him out of it and now we have WLRRR. So ya, I think you're right. I don't think he's quitting music, just the whole internet scene. [Keep in mind in one of his last posts online he mentionned the possibility of an acoustic tour]

 

The only question I have is whether or not he's going to make an album with Dahle or if that was just some fun for him and now he's going back to Chris and company.

Oh interesting. these are tense times, what with him leaving the internet, the country, him being ill, him moving, and this whole mess. I can honestly see him not making music, being a pilot or something. but by "big band" do you mean like with a horn section and stuff?

baritone sax? You migth be thinking of another one, whos name i also forget, but I think was used and listed in the liner notes of Avalanche. I don't have my CD case with me, so maybe you can check. If I'm right, I'm god.

its that really really big one, with the big opening, and it is played in a similar style to the trombone

I think it IS a baritone. My friend plays it, and it's huge, and sounds... bass-ish. Not exactly sure how you play it though.

I was thinking tympany, but I'm really not sure that's an intrament, the dictionary tells me it's just a sound. But I don't know why I would know that word.

Well there you ahve it, I'm a god. So in conclusion, Matt is not done with music, and in half a year he will release a double CD like shania twaine, with all the songs on one being accoustic, and all the songs on the other being the same songs done only with tympani
