Has anyone had a chance to check this out? George's new show on CBC is worth your time. He's a good guy for this kind of show, and he's intelligent. I like that he intentionally covers stories that aren't front page news in Canada. Good submissions from other young journalists, too.

I definatly agree, George was the best, and now the useless banter drives me insane, its funny that this thread is on here i was just talking to some friends about it. Does anyone know the time that George's show starts? what day etc?

Damn I was about to make this post. Anyhoo, it's on at 5 and 8 here in vancouver. It's pretty good but I don't think George is settled yet, give him time and it will get better. I now get the news from 2 sources, this and The Daily Show.

Yeah, I've taken to watching it whenever I'm watching tv and it's on, and I like it. It's also funny to see him take rips at Hillary Duff, and other importantly unimportant news bits.

It's a good show. Not really refreshing, though, considering every show on Newsworld is kinda like that.

Ive seen the new show... its actually pretty good. He talks to the people any news show would, but he puts a better spin on it. Its not biased, but there is no doubt that it is meant for a younger audience. Id give it 2 thumbs up, and i hope CBC will actually keep a good show for once..... its a RARE thing.

Everytime I watch it the show just reminds me of school. It's like a repeat of my lectures. I try and stay with it, because its a smart informative show, but I usually dont last the whole Hour.

i came across this the other night while i was randomly flipping around, and half watched it. someone wrote a letter complaining about how CBC is all about gay people now, and how they have a gay host. i giggled. so did george.

If perhaps he actually researched his stories I might be a fan, but he's let more than a couple slip in the last couple of weeks, and that's enough for me to dismiss it as a pop culture grab...
