I just heard of this new band called "the Black Maria" from Toronto. Has anyone else heard of them? The lead singer sounds alot like Billy Talent which can be a good thing/bad thing depending on how you feel about them. Anyways, i just wannted to know what you guys thought of them. I thought they were pretty good on their debut cd called "Lead us to Reason."

not really a big fan of oasis.... sure wonderwall was good, but they just seem to fight too much. i guess thats just what brothers do i guess, but keep it behind the scenes.

Why should he get to not pay taxes just because he is pissed off at the government? someone should take his licence away, or better yet his health care.... we're all in it togather. Taxes suck, but if noone paid them our country would be a run down mess.

Ive seen the new show... its actually pretty good. He talks to the people any news show would, but he puts a better spin on it. Its not biased, but there is no doubt that it is meant for a younger audience. Id give it 2 thumbs up, and i hope CBC will actually keep a good show for once..... its a RARE thing.

The first time i read the book, i kept saying to myself "how did this get published??" like some other people have been writing, He has an interesting writing style that is hard to catch onto at first. Not to say that it is bad, it is actually refreshing to break from the ordinary. Thanks to the colonial era, there are not many nation-states left in the truest sense of the word. Arbitrarily deciding where borders should be placed (eg. Africa) created states that cut across nationalities and are the root cause of ethnic conflict in the world. Nations and states are often two different things all togather and in most cases should not be joined togather. The only real nation states left are places like France where the Franks have lived in the area for centuries and have developed distinctions from thier neighbors. What do you guys think?
