MG Or MGB?

I nulled because I listen to different stuff depending on my mood. MGB tends to be good for angry, MG for sad - well Avalanche anyway. White Light is more of an angry album.

its hard to compare the two. i've really gotten into matthew good after he went solo. but yah, its hard for me to tell. i'm leaning towards solo though. it's all great.

I always find myself going back to the early mgb, however, mg is always cranked in the car. No matter which mg/mgb song I listen to I never get sick of it. I don't think a day goes by that I don't listen to some form of mr. good's music therefore..

Matthew Good by himself - seems to have more focus. 'Rich and Famous' status is on the periphery.

 

With the band, the message is there, but the urgency is not.

 

Musically, it seems like Good has moved to a more folky-rock, focusing more on them lyrics ;).

 

I have a hard time deciding. I think there's more good material with the band, probably because there's just more material to pick from. I think Avalanche is his best album though out of all his stuff.
