a band can only be good as each player. otherwise, it clearly lags. solo work is kinda meh beacuse i dunno, the WLRRR and Avalanche havent had the longevity.

The music would not be the same if it wasn't Matt singing. The music might still be awesome, but I doubt i'd care that much. Matt's voice is so unique, much better then all of those generic MTV type voices.

 

But seriously, what would they call it? I doubt he'd do something with his name in it since Matthew Good Band 2, Matthew Good Band Revival and Matthew Good's Company Players all sound stupid.

I listen to MG because I like his voice... yes the instrumentation is key... and if that was not of the MG style.. then I wouldn't like the music as well.

being a conductor/arranger for a symphonic program is tougher than meets the eye. Listen to his Avalanche stuff and realize that its pretty simplistic for orchestral movements and colours.

I agree, pretty simplistic, orchestral wise.... but combining it with a rock and roll style and Matt Goods voice.... it needs to be so refined and perfect that it's pretty difficult even compared to orchestral works.
