i met them after the matt good show in kingston. they're really nice guys! i was talking to the singer and i was saying that i really liked their music, and he was like "ya, i'm amazing", so i asked if he was amazingly drunk, and he told me that if you're gonna do anything, whether its drinking or playing music, you've got to put all you've got into it. such a wise man.

the absolute best part of that day was when this homeless guy in a colourful shirt wanted to eat bits & bites out of my friend's hand.....weird. but ya that parking guy was pretty hilarious too.

i'll be there, along with some other people from ottawa. should be awesome!!

better lie down and move all sharp objects away.....cause from what i understand, and from what happened last year, the ONLY way to get in, is to win tickets from the bear. fortunately, they give away a pair of tickets pretty much every hour. but that requires listening to the radio a lot, which i don't. well i guess i will now, cause i really, really want to go, but i'm not going to be happy about it. stupid radio station....

apparently 106.9 the bear is having another "the best year of your life" contest. matt good is playing the concert at the capital music hall (last year it was the tragically hip), where you can win money and more cool stuff. hopefully i can win tickets..... you can get more details at http://www.thebear.fm

i live in ottawa and i still missed them twice.....i'm still kicking myself for missing the december show....

at the montreal show this fall, matt slid across the stage and was playing right in front of me and then he accidentally dropped his pick down my shirt. other than that i've gotten a setlist and pat gave me a drumstick

its not a gospel song. its a joke. matthew good isnt actually nominated for anything this year ;) vote for him for the fan choice thing though. he wont win, but i feel better having voted. stupid junos.....dont recognize good records...

i asked about this a while ago, and i was told that reliance and should've been a super villain were never really made into songs, they were just poems.

i was just about to start a thread about this too.....my computer screwed up yesterday and i lost all my songs..... sniffle... :angry: so if anyone has the following songs, it would be fantastic if they could send them to me at [email protected] : dusk cant get shot all together (my favourite ;) ) pony boy big city life 4 minute mile i would be forever in debt to whoever can help me out.....thanks a lot!!!

matt: i just wanted to thank you for putting so much effort into mblog and keeping it running for so long, despite all the criticism you received. i loved reading it daily, and its so frustrating that there are people out there that always seem to ruin it for the true fans. i was introduced to your music during a very difficult time in my life, and have been a dedicated fan since. the music helped me cope. you're so incredibly talented, and i hope that your experiences lately havent turned you off music forever. if you decide to return, you'll have a solid fan base waiting for you. take care. (i know that matt probably wont read this, but it makes me feel better posting it anyways)

valid point. i dont really understand why he doesnt just ignore the people who oppose him. do people write posts like the one that lead to his blow up just to see what he will do? i havent read those specific posts so i guess this is a more general question about people who continually argue with him. just so its clear, i'm in no way saying that people dont have a right to express their opinions.

the problem is that matt gets these "small" criticisms and attacks too often....and i dont blame him for getting upset. if every time i opened my email i had a hundred emails attacking me and my opinions, i think i would be a little touchy too......just something to consider.

has anyone been able to get to the "discuss" forum (the one linked on mblog)? it shows up as "not found" for me.....weird.

i remember reading somewhere that while we were hunting rabbits was about the demise of the matthew good band....doesnt help me interpret the lyrics any better though. maybe someone here has insight.

sorry to ask a stupid question, but whats matts email again? if we're supposed to email him if we want to be a part of the new site, i definately want to email him.
