A WLRRR vinyl would be awesome.

I might....It would depend on how expensive it was. But I know it would never be in stores and I don't buy stuff over the internet, yet. Although it would be a great collection piece, I could say, hey look! I own a record!

I doubt he will put one out now. If he was going to do it why not do it when he released White Light?

I like listening to vinyls from time to time ;) I'd definetely - if i could - buy one

My vinyl collection is bigger than my CD collection...

I *heart* vinyl. You come to love the inconsistencies of analog vinyl recordings...scratches and all. If an artist releases their work on vinyl, I make that my priority over any other release.

I have never owned anything on vinyl and I'm pretty sure i never will as i have no plans to buy a record player.

Vinyl=awesome. I bought an old Charlie Parker album from the 40's, and I have to say that it sounded more real than a cd or mp3 ever could. Records have a fuller sound than cd's anyway.

I don't even have a phonograph. But I would likely buy one if people started releasing vinyl only tracks.

Vinyl is awesome. Owns CD's in every way except portabilty and price.

Also, i remember an interview or something with Matt about Loser Anthems, and how he intentionally put a layer of vinyl-like hiss under the whole thing and tried to give it a vinyl-esque frequency response to make it sound better.

and it does sound as vinyl-esque as a CD can.

Vinyl is dead, ad CD's are going soon as well.

As far as a WLRRR vinyl, it would only be for novelty purposes.

Posted

yeah, novelty is the only reason. As much as I hate to say it, they are dead as are cds for the most part. I bought WLRRR, imported it and now it sits in my ipod. Ive listened to the actual cd twice. Am I happy about this, not really, but what can I do?

Vinyl is a better format in theory. The sound is stored in a purely analog format. That means when the sound is played back, the result is a pure sinusoidal function. Except for errors in the recording process, vinyl results in a more accurate reproduction of the original sound. I own the Avalanche vinyl and I would but a WLR&RR vinyl.

Peace

I said yes. And just some more info: apparently VHS tapes are going to stop being made in Jan.
