I havent gone to his concerts ;)..

but in his recent POYL tour.. didnt he play FXR a few times??

If anyone was at the shows where he did play it.. did he play the slow version or the fast one?

I heard the slow version in 2002 when Matt played at Oliver's in Ottawa. It's a really cool and different version. I would guess the most it was played was during his tour in 2002 when he went to a bunch of universities and colleges.

Its on of my favs and I never heard the slow version. He played the fast version in Montreal during this tour... though I think it may only have been half the song, lead right into Put out your Lights.

Slow FXR was played from 2002 on, when he got the new band, until it was dropped from the setlist for the second Avalanche tour. The POYL tour saw the return of the album version of FXR, though only up to the bridge, where it goes into POYL.

He didn't play it in Vancouver

However, I think that the energy he puts in contriubtes to the mood of the song. A slow version would just be like "is this a love song??"

That said, I would still like to hear it ;) [email protected]
