i was... it was basically night time - from 2am on - when the electoral schools closed... and... well, what could i say? ;)

Nope. Slept better than usual, too. Midterm today, so it's not like I had a choice even if I cared enough to stay up.

Its not so much something you choose to do, but if you follow politics you might think of this as an important event and unable to do otherwise.

 

It'd be like staying up to watch the Stanley Cup Finals, watching won't make a difference and you can see the highlights the next day, but you just can't wait that long.

 

Although I will grant hockey is much more entertaining ;)

I was doing homework until 2:30am... so I kept checking the results.

the point was that i was nervous waitin for the results... i think that whatever the americans vote affects the rest of the world: look what has happened in the four last years... and what we may expect in the following four years with the same president

i followed the results until about 2:00am, then when i realized nothing would be resolved in the Ohio situation at least for another several hours, i just went to bed.

 

then i woke up to the crappy news i was hearing when i went to bed: that Bush was likely going to take Ohio.
