the best serious drug movie is "wonderland", as for funny ones "dazed and confused", and i seem to be the only person in the world who likes this movie but "harold and kumar go to whitecastle" was great.

Trainspotting or Dazed & Confused (not a trippy movie but it is all about drugs and drinking)

 

Also "Surviving Christmas" wait... that wasn't a drug movie, just a crackhead concept.

I was reading something about Johnny Depp and Benecio Del Toro doing another movie based on a Hunter S. Thompson book, but its all about booze, no drugs. Does anyone know anything about this, like what its called, if or when its out, etc.?

What I've seen...

 

Blow: Was great... had a little something for everyone, good movie to watch with friends.

 

Traffic: Good... my dad thinks it's boring, so watch it with your yuppie friends who like intellectual movies.

 

Drugstore Cowboy: I've only seen it once or twice but I liked it.

 

Requiem: Heavy stuff... definitely not a date movie. Enough to scare you off of drugs/Jennifer Connelly forever.

 

Never seen Fear and Loathing. Never seen it on.

"Pink Floyd The Wall." That was an uber-messed up movie. But interesting. And it has a song that wasn't on the album!

 

The animation part with the flowers freaked the hell out of me.

I forgot Trainspotting on my list. That was pretty good too.

 

And yeah, if I had to pick a favourite, I'd probably saw Blow too. Others movies may be better but if you had to watch a movie and had a few friends over, I'd watch Blow.

The funniest drug movie I've ever seen was Harold & Kumar go to White Castle. It has some great cameos (Neil Patrick Harris for one) and a great cast.

I'm going to go with Trainspotting for my number one, but Requiem for a dream is a very close second. It gets points with jennifer Connellys frontal nudity, but loses points with the difficulty I find in pronouncing Requiem.

Requiem for a dream was good but made me so angry! and disgusted! and sad! I really loved and hated the movie at the same time...

 

And Basketball diaries was the first movie i really loved when i was teenager ;) i thought it was so "cool" hehe
