Havent posted here in ages, not even sure its kept count of my previous posts but........yea I agree. I like a few of the songs (Lost and Found Kids, A Corridor of Trees, and Daylight Actual) but between a rap guest star, a female singing the entire song, and an instrumental...I just sat and wondered what are we doing here? Cool for those that enjoy it bit this direction just isnt for me

I'd heard some of the artists pulled out last minute. If that's the case maybe it would have been better off not to release this as an album but as an online collection of songs.  I have no clue what Matt's next plan is but I'd love for him to hit us with another full on rock album, throw in 1-2 ballads. I know he still has it in him and I refuse to believe he doesn't.  Am I mad he didn't play the US shows? Yes, but I'm still a fan of the music he's given us and think a return to his roots could be what he needs.

It's been a long time since I've posted on this forum, and also a long time since I've listened to Matthew Good (Chaotic Neutral was the last album I bought). I recently decided to check out what he's been up to lately and discovered "Zero Hours", oh boy, I wish I hadn't. This is not the same guy I used to be obsessed with and constantly analyze the lyrics/songs he created. I don't know if he decided to change his sound out of "evolution" or to sell out, either way it's terrible.

I’m a bit disappointed with the recently released EP. I only like Daylight Actual and Smoke. The rest bore me, and I can’t even finish listening to them. What a disappointment... it doesn’t sound like our dear Matthew Good. At least to me, it doesn’t sound like what I usually enjoy from him.

My 2cents: the "solo songs" we had already heard are great, Lost and Found Kids is my favorite. Smoke grew on me, but I'm still not into Triage.

For those of you into lyrics: saw that someone, probably from here, added three of the songs to AZLyrics. Used those as a base and tried to transcribe the others (got stumped a couple of times but playing at 0.5x and checking out a live version makes me think they are "pretty close")... and put them on Genius. Please correct anything I got wrong

I'm happy that the associated tour stop is tomorrow and hope that "Daylight Actual" won't be the only song from the EP to appear in a setlist!

Dunno if this is all of 'em, but this is the expanded playlist I've been using. Subjectively, I find the original or demo version of Triage much better than the official release + had forgotten how much Daylight Actual had changed VS the original instrumental demo (though I wish there was a version without Matt Mays / that had MG doing the chorus, as I really admire the lyrics in the final version).

Also: I was wrong about Montreal being the only city to get Smoke live in the 2025 tour, apparently it happened in Vancouver on Oct 24th too.
