Format is the same, song vs. song, with the opportunity to bring back some songs later on that may get eliminated earlier than they deserve because of unfavorable matchups. Most matchups are random, the exception being tracks that are different versions of the same song, i.e. "Rooms." There are 144 songs to choose from as I threw in a few pre LOTGA tracks to bring the number to 144. Round 1 A 1) Tripoli vs. Tripoli (rooms) - Tripoli lost to Tripoli (rooms) in round 1 in 2005 - Tripoli (rooms) finished 9th overall - MY VOTE - Tripoli 2) On Nights Like Tonight vs. Look Happy, It's the End of the World - On Nights Like Tonight did not exist in 2005 - Look Happy, It's the End of the World lost to Weapon in round 2 in 2005 - MY VOTE - On Nights Like Tonight 3) Weapon vs. Failing the Rorschach Test - Weapon finished 7th in 2005 - Failing the Rorschach Test lost to The Rat Who Would Be King in round 1 in 2005 - MY VOTE - Weapon 4) Born Losers vs. Raygun - Born Losers didn't exist in 2005 - Raygun lost to Lullaby For a New World Order in round 1 in 2005 - MY VOTE - Born Losers 5) Hopeless vs. The War is Over - Rematch from 2005 - The War is Over was victorious, but lost in round 2 to Under The Influence - MY VOTE - Hopeless 6) Girl Wedged Under the Front of a Firebird vs. I Am Not Safer Than a Bank - both tracks did not exist in 2005 - MY VOTE - I Am Not Safer Than a Bank 7) Big City Life vs. Jenni's Song - Big City Life lost to While We Were Hunting Rabbits in round 2 in 2005 - Jenni's Song lost to Sort of a Protest Song in round 3 in 2005 - MY VOTE - Jenni's Song 8) My Out of Style is Coming Back vs. Metal Airplanes - My Out of Style is Coming Back lost to Truffle Pigs in round 2 in 2005 - Metal Airplanes did not exist in 2005 - MY VOTE - Out of Style 9) Comfortable Criminals vs. Flashdance II - Comfortable Criminals lost to Everything is Automatic in round 2 in 2005 - Flashdance II lost to Strange Days in round 3 in 2005 - MY VOTE - Flashdance II Voting is open until noon November 4th Edited October 31, 2009 by rebellious_L
