Sweet Manchurian Moses! That made my day.

I'm digging this a lot more than the previously heard demo. A great tune.

sounds good, i can't hear much difference in pete and matt's voice (as mentioned on the blog) on my shitty macbook speakers

pete is the one singing in a higher key, i think.

edit: enjoy my crappy news post graphics

I can tell their voices apart quite easily.

Out of the alleys are needle strewn fields

Into the sunlight the brochures reveal

Like snakes come for rabbits, and rabbits for meals

Where the ore and the axe flies

Well this is our story (stick to it)

But it ain't the truth, 'cause the truth's just for liars that need an excuse

Around here love's a gangster and charity's the proof

Where god deals on Sunday's under a rain burning roof

It's five blocks, our universe, and aliens for each

Like invisible ghettos of privelege and grief

And pinned up between 'em, the carrion fly

Living off skeletons of recycled lies

This is the place you find out

Well, this is the way you find out

We all live downtown, pay two even, no parking

Live with a clown, step over ourselves

We all live downtown, pay in blood, no parking

Sleep on the ground, step over ourselves

We all live downtown, we all die downtown

Step over ourselves, step over ourselves

We all live downtown, we all die downtown

Step over ourselves, step over ourselves

We all live downtown, we all die downtown

Step over ourselves, step over ourselves

Well this is our story (stick to it)

But it ain't the truth, 'cause the truth's just for liars that need an excuse

For a king, crown a banker, a queen, crown a noose

Like heirs to a graveyard where the dirt's always loose

It's five blocks, our universe, and aliens for each

Like invisible ghettos of privelege and grief

And pinned up between 'em, the carrion fly

Picking off skeletons under a big northern sky

This is the place you find out

Well, this is the way you find out

We all live downtown, we all die downtown

Step over ourselves, step over ourselves

My favourite of the album versions that we've heard thus far...

I thought it sounded great! Can't wait to hear the rest of the album...only 3 more months to go!

I listened to half of it and turned it off... not that I didn't like, just that I didn't want to spoil the rest of it! This is going to be a great album! I can't wait to hear The Boy Who Could Explode and Volcanos! yeee!

I missed it, kind of on purpose. I would have liked to hear it. I thought I would maybe listen to it once but probably not rip this one but then I didn't get to it or even really try to get to it because I figured I've already heard practically everything and I'd leave listening to whatever previews might be yet to come ( which I'm sure are none). And plus, this particular song I'm interested more in it being somewhat unknown when I first hear the album than some of the others.
