Well they put out their single "Mein Teil" (My Part) a little while ago, their next single "Amerika" is going to be out in several days, their 4th album "Reise, Reise" (Journey Journey) is supposed to be released Sept 20th.

They've got a new album called "Reise reise" and i've heard a couple of songs (great, as always)... they're coming to Madrid in November, can't wait to see them live again...

do you have the "Live aus Berlin" double CD live? it's pretty good... you can get an idea of how they sound live

Posted

I've got the Live Aus Berlin DVD, it's really good, but clearly doesn't replace the experience of being there; not to mention it's from 1998 so only the songs from the first 2 albums are performed.

yeah, that's true but if you use E-mule to download music, look for Rammstein's concerts... there are a lot, complete concerts from their last tour and i'm sure there will be some in a while when they start touring for the new album... i'm gonna go see them when they come to Madrid, i'll tell you how the new stuff sounds ;)

If you like Rammstein, you should also check out Oomph! www.oomph.de the website is in both English and German. The band had a number 1 song this year with the single Augen Auf! The rest of the disc is pretty good as well.

Yeah, Oomph is quite alright, although not all that similar to Rammstein aside from the fact that it's rock and it's German. "Augen Auf" is an excellent song though, and it has an awesome music video to it as well.

I just rediscovered Rammstein.

Sonne is the best video ever... in my opinion, anyway. It rivals even Matthew Good's videos.

I think most Rammstein vids are better than Matt Good's... Matt Good videos seem to lack the cinematic element (except Apparitions of course), somehow not very dramatic I guess. Although with such a drastically different sound, it's hard to compare the music itself.

they are better and better quality, i guess, because they are more famous than MG and i suppose they have much more money they can spend on filming videos...

I can't wait for the new Album to come out. I've really enjoyed the two new singles and the videos have rocked. I just got my hands on the Lichtspielhaus DVD and it is a must for any Rammstein fan.

I've had Lichtspielhaus for a while now, yah it is really great. For those who've only seen Rammstein vids on the comp or on TV, you're probably not getting the full experience because of censorship. In some cases it makes a pretty big difference.

And it's true, Juanpe, what you said about the funding, if you see Rammstein's first vid "Du Riechst So Gut" (1995)...it was pretty lame, even compared with Matt Good. Once they actually became profitable, there was massive improvement.

Take, for example, one of my favorite bands (The Cure or Depeche Mode) and see their videos from the beginning and you can tell a difference ;) it is also true that technology has improved and now more interesting and impressive things can be done... for example, comparing the video you mention, Pavel, with the newest Rammstein video
