Never even heard of it...but Neil Young is awesomeness, so I will endeavour to find it.

 

Shiri...I highly recommend The Cure "SHow" and "Paris" they are full of live kickass goodness.

this album is fantastic. a must own for any neil young fan.

 

just him and his acoustic/his harm and a piano. it's beautiful. that's the only way i can describe listening to it.

If you can find the 2 disc version, get it. Disc 2 is grainy footage of the show plus other bits from the NY archives.

This is one of my favourite albums of his.

Speaking of Neil Young, he's touring in the fall and Death Cab is opening for some dates.

I was ready to jump at the chance, but the prices are out of my range for such a large venue (ACC), maybe if it was a Massey Hall or something though.

That said, I haven't heard this whole album, just a few songs, and it's great.

I'll have to agree. This album's fantastic. I can't get through the whole thing for the life of me. Its so good that it inspires me to pick up my guitar and as a result I turn it off.

An amazing album. A few breathtaking songs on there, plus his banter about the songs is insightful & just adds to the atmosphere (like "Old Man"). I totally love the "A Man Needs a Maid/Heart of Gold" medley.

Going to see Neil Young when he comes to Ottawa this Dec. Better be worth the $90!!!

have to agree with this, it's brilliant. makes me want to write music everytime i listen to it.

 

it's so stripped down, so bare-bones, it's incredible.
