i can't stand most of them... there was a lot of shite music from the 80's though, we should be talking about the best of the lot!

I played in a lot of those cover bands when I was a kid. Not all of it was Shite.

george michael might've sucked cat balls after wham, but make it big is greatness. "careless whisper" is one of the best love songs i've ever heard. sure, some of the music they did was cheesy, but it was also fun. i don't know anyone who doesn't at least laugh when they hear "wake me up before you go-go" (whether that's due to the zoolander scene that the song is featured in, i'll never know). also, "freedom" is a great example of 80s pop-soul music.

 

i think if you're going to blame wham for anything, it should be for spawning copy-cats like rick astley and starting the boy band trend.
