Another fine reason why I should go to Linux, or buy a Mac

Should I upadte with this already or wait?

i'd wait another month or two just to be safe. if you update right now and use internet explorer 7, you can't downgrade to 6.

Yeah just like Vista is worst than XP, IE7 is (far) worst than IE6...

Nevertheless, just go with Firefox ;)

All. VOB, mpeg and avi (xvid) mostly. Managed to sort it through System Restore like.

you probably just needed to install the codecs again. weird

Nah, tried that. Uninstalled K-Lite and got FFdshow instead - didn't change a thing.

Think maybe it screwed up my video card driver ? I never know which drivers I need though, so it'd have been a pain in the arse even if that was the case. Like, I know my video card but if you go on their site they've got a list of variations and none completely match mine...

Read somewhere (whilst looking to find out how the fuck I was going to fix it) that this SP3 isn't suitable for PCs running an AMD chipset/processor either - which mine is.
