Gomo Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 (edited) I can't remember the last time I checked my PM inbox. But I'm just gonna delete the PM. Seriously. I haven't heard like, the last 5 demos he has posted. I might as well keep up the streak. Edited April 28, 2008 by Gomo
Crusader Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 http://www.nearfantastica.com/yhbt/mg-sitt.mp3 SPOILER (Highlight to View) lol at the people who're going to fall for that
Prometheon Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 (edited) The posted lyrics look pretty correct, but I think it's "a muted wail" not "a million wail" Edit: Didn't see the updated post. My bad. Edited April 28, 2008 by Prometheon
Guest apsham Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I heard; Two metal legs that get along We ain't got much without one to stand on But many I'm crazy.
given2flym Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I really can't even begin to express how much I like this song. From the first time I heard the acoustic version. Just blows my mind.
LordBimbly Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 The guitar solo is really cool. I wish Matt would be a little more scrappy like that, all the time. Other then that, it just feels like Matt Good. He's kind of been doing the same thing now for a while. I usually like it but I want something different.

I'd say these demos have been very different from most of the things he's done before. This one is perhaps more indicative of the 'Hospital Music' style... but songs like Vancouver National Anthem and Us Remains Impossible are quite a departure methinks.

I really liked the little snippit of the song we heard when he was demonstrating Garage Band in his Flickr video. It's nice to hear a little harder edge to the music.
Ravenous megin-sane Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 http://www.nearfantastica.com/yhbt/mg-sitt.mp3 SPOILER (Highlight to View) lol at the people who're going to fall for that i was waiting for rick roll
Champion Of Nothing Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 ya, these are very experimental and fresh, it's nice to hear uncharted territory in artists these days, simply 'cause of the formula that 99% of mainstream artists stick to right now
AnOceanPearl Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I heard; Two metal legs that get along We ain't got much without one to stand on But many I'm crazy. I think I am going to agree with this, though it also sounds like "too many legs". Something like that.
decomposinglight Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Wow, I totally evaded this thread thinking it was about the regular old SAITT live demo we all have. And now that I've seen the post on his site about not putting up demos and all of the subsequent comments, I'm kind of peeved. Everything turned into a mess over there, and who are these clowns to talk about posting demos? One guy, named "seriousbusiness" even hated on image boards, WHERE THE MEME "seriousbusiness" came from! Ah, the hypocrisy of the internet. It's everywhere. I also don't want to be rude, but Matt is kind of a flip-flop. I think he'll cave and start posting demos again. A part of me wanted to download the song from that Eli douche, but the more I look at the download page, the more I feel dirty about it. At least if you get it from someone here, we're a pretty close-knit community and you've probably chatted with them before... We keep it amongst ourselves and don't flaunt it around the web. >.<
Guest apsham Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I think I am going to agree with this, though it also sounds like "too many legs". Something like that. Do'h I actually meant: "Two metal legs TO get along" But either way, yeah.
Jay Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 http://www.nearfantastica.com/yhbt/mg-sitt.mp3 SPOILER (Highlight to View) lol at the people who're going to fall for that I fell for it. Sad day...
decomposinglight Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 (edited) I fell for it. Sad day... Are you serious? Sad day indeed. I clicked on it knowing it was a joke, but I wanted to know if it was a rickroll or something else, so I clicked on it for the lulz. If you genuinely though it was real, that's just shameful. Especially after we all got duped by Crusader on April 1.. Edited April 30, 2008 by decomposinglight
here is no why Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 didn't get to hear it, sounds promising though.
Monochrome Rainbow Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Yeah damn I missed it too. Hopefully it makes it on the album!
Vance Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Completely off topic, but I was just laughing to myself at how long I sat and watched you avatar to see if something else was going to happen.....Just give him the carrot dammit!!!
reckoner Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 damn, i was intrigued by how this would sound, knowing that nothing he's done of late has been acoustic. new verse sounds cool, but the solo sounds frightening.
