I got an e-mail from House Of Blues which says that the pre-sale code is "Music"

On a side note, "Music" has been the pre-sale code for everything lately. Everything from QOTSA to Celine Dion. Gettin lazy HoB.

After the shitty seats I got on presale for his acoustic concert, no way in hell I'm gonna use presale this time around,,,

he usually does buffalo... but he's hitting buffalo 2 months earlier during the upcoming acoustic tour, so i doubt he'll be hitting it again so soon, even tho it is with a full band. plus he has to worry about vias and crap for the crew.

hamilton will be closest probably... who knows, maybe he'll hit st. catherines tho.

I have been WAITING so long for full-band shows. But I highly doubt he'll be back in Buffalo... that would make three times within one year? Kind of insane maybe. Maybe not.

Thanks for the info, guys. If he doesn't go to NY then I'll go to the Hamilton or the St. Catherine's if they have it.

Unfortunately I guess that means I have to get a VISA myself.. It says on U.S. and Canadian passport websites that "A visa is not required for U.S. citizens to visit Canada for up to 180 days," but it also says "U.S. law requires that Americans entering the U.S. from Canada by air (including those returning by air from short trips to Canada ) must have a valid passport. This requirement will be extended to sea travel (except closed loop cruises), including ferry service, and land travel by the Summer of 2008."

Any Americans (or Canadians, I guess) care to shed some light? It almost seems like I can enter Canada no questions asked (with id and birth certificate) but that I have to have a Passport to get BACK into the U.S.

You're fine with birth certificate + ID until May or June. Then you need a passport.

So basically yeah, since the shows aren't until May/June you'll need a passport.

PS if you don't have one now... I'd get on it ASAP.  Takes about 3 to 4 months for them to get processed.

if you request, they can fast track it.

i think i'll probably go to scalpers again for this one, last set of tickets i snagged were $150/pair for second row, center, and there is probably a good chance i'll be at work when they go on sale.

If I remember a post on MG's blog, there will be no full band dates in the US, since getting all of the (employed) band members the correct permits is a bitch.

In terms of Passports, if you fly, you NEED one. Ground travel is ok right now, but having a passport is a good idea anyway.

He's playing Sarnia at the Imperial again. It's an extremely long story that has absolutely nothing to do with Matt directly, but my first reaction was "Oh God, not again" and I had my second heart attack in six months. But the panic subsided quickly there after when I did figured out my game plan. I have got my money together, and I'm sending my sister to get my tickets Saturday.

No explicits can ever emphasise just how happy I am right now. ;)

My sister is buying me tickets for the Victoria show on Saturday as a birthday present! YAY! Even though it's like 2 months after my birthday, but what ever! It's Matthew-Fucking-Good with a full band! I've seen him twice but only as acoustic. This will be AWESOME!

just an fyi on the passport stuff.

i submitted for mine about a month ago, and it only took 2 and a half weeks without paying the extra fee. they claimed when i submitted it it'd take 3 months, but apparently they were just b.s.'ing.

if you're going over the border, definitely take a passport if you have it. if you don't, apply for a passport, and when you go over the border take the receipt for passport submission + a birth certificate + state id (drivers license), and you will be fine.
