cool? to see?

[Audio of Being]

to see moe. at radio city music hall

just 10 years ago moe. was a local buffalo bar band, and now look, headlining Radio City.

from 150 people my 1st show to over 5000 for this one.

[Shiri]

The National's Boxer is amazing. I've listened to it more frequently lately and this band blows me away.

[Doormat]

It's all over the internets, download it. It's pretty meh though.

A few songs stand out, notably "Last Flowers to the Hospital" which is about ten thousand times more T-T than "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" could ever be.

[Shiri]

I disagree but it doesn't matter.

More albums I liked this year:

Arcade Fire - Neon Bible

Besnard Lakes - Are The Dark Horses

Keren Ann - Keren Ann

Patrick Wolf - The Magic Position

Oh and this one is really good but I completely forgot about it - Twilight Sad - Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters

[folk singer]

no one's mentioned the shins yet, so I guess I will. My list may seem limited but I only really listen to music that I buy (and I dont really buy a lot of albums due to the lack of a little thing called money), so I'm going from that:

The Shins - WIncing the Night Away

Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before the Ship Ever Sank

The Arcade Fire - Neon Bible

Radiohead - In Rainbows

The White Stripes - Icky Thump

Matthew Good - Hospital Music

[HoboFactory]

Looking at it now, Hospital Music is mostly a pretty forgettable album. I listened to it quite a bit for the first couple of weeks that I had it; mind you this was only like 4 months ago, and now I virtually never listen to it at all.

[Shiri]

Yeah, same here. It's quite odd.

[borntohula]

you people are weird. i quite enjoyed hospital music. i think some songs got tired faster because we had all heard them demoed earlier, whether live or through bootlegs.

[Ravenous megin-sane]

The White Stripes - Icky Thump

mmm i agree

[Prometheon]

Wintersleep - Welcome to the Night Sky

Sonata Arctica - Unia

Matthew Good - Hospital Music

[Computer]

I still listen to hospital music all the time.

[shade]

yo guyz, I heard matt wuz in a hospitel? confirm/deny??

[HoboFactory]

Not true for me; I never bother with concert bootlegs, and very rarely with demos. The only song I've heard before getting the album is Black Helicopter. But then, I don't listen to a whole lot of MG/B at all anymore.

I've switched over to Matthew Ryan, which I think is a better Matthew.

[Shiri]

Ouch, that hurts. I need to check this Ryan dude. Haha.

[Audio of Being]

mmm i agree

I agree as well.

[bishopx]

Icky Thump is pretty good too.

[here is no why]

In Rainbows.

[orgasmi]

my top 3 would Sunset Rubdown's Random Spirit Lover, The National's Boxer, and Kevin Drew's Spirit If..., one of those three without a doubt
