No, you would not be able to; unless you changed the guitar's bridge and altered the body accordingly.

Why not buy a guitar that has one built-in? There're plenty of Ibanez models like that

Definitely, and with that color and texture too.

I'm not that crazy on the Ibanez sound to be honest, but it's all a matter of taste.

It really does depend on what you're going for. For serious guitar pyrotechnics, an Ibanez and the right pedals will churn out so pretty amazing stuff...personally, Strats and Les Pauls sound more soulful.

Whoa Charles, isn't it super late/early for you?

It's 6:45 am

I'm leaving late for work, I'm trying to finish a document. How the hell are ya Sis?

I'm excellent, living on my own has turned out to be even better than I thought. So much fun. Now I should be doing my homework because I have nothing to do today but I can't really bring myself to do it

It definitely has it's good points...Time to get a sleepover buddy, Sis. (best part of living alone...making all the noise you want)

Haha, well I don't actually live all by myself, I have a roommate which also happens to be my best friend. But she's gay too so we completely understand each other haha

Like minds meld well...you should have hot chicks come over and do your bidding

Posted

Haha for sure. It's been a while but I haven't lost hope!

you could use a whammy pedal with that guitar, but it would cost almost as much as the guitar itself. i'm super helpful.

hey now, this thread is supposed to be about whammy's!! just kidding.

Ok i didn't think this had a slot for a whammy. I like the Ibanez because i play mostly hard rock & metal.

What i'm looking for in a guitar is a black Ibanez electric that has 24 frets, a whammy bar, dot inlays on the fretboard (as opposed to those fancy lightning bolts etc.), and 2 pickups/hambuckers (i don't like having a pickup in the middle as it interferes with my strumming). And its gotta be at a decent price preferebly (ie: $150-350 range).

Can anyone find me a guitar like that? I've found one but it only has 22 frets.

have you looked at schecter?

schecter omen

edit: i always check here for reviews:

harmony central omen 6 reviews

easy to spot who knows what they're talking about, mostly. in the end, only your opinion matters.

ltd probably also has something similar in the same price range.

edit: however, all the ones in that price range i've seen from schecter and ltd that have a floyd rose (tremelo) aren't mahogany, like the one you posted. they're all agathis or basswood. i dunno about ibanez.

Nothing beats going to a music store and just try out a bunch of different guitars, you'll know which guitar is the right one once you play it.

I like to go out and test drive basses every now and then myself.

To be honest, before I got my electic guitar I'd go and drool over at guitar stores. But since I got it, I don't need anything else, it was love at first sight and we're still very much in love ;)
