my 2003 office was free, thanks to some student download site i was invited too, i doubt i really need office 2007.

If you're talking about the version available on TheUltimateSteal it's not. That's an official Microsoft website. I've know about this for close to 6 months. But I'm no longer a student so I decided to stick to my 2003.
