Towards the end of Champions of Nothing, there's a part where Matt's singing & then all this weird noise occurs that sounds like chickens clucking or something.

 

What the heck is that noise?

yes it sorta sounds like kids laughing too, but then u realize it really isn't.

a couple of the sound effects are actually straight from garage band if u wanna check them out(if u have garage band that is)

G# on applause and laughter is the kids cheering on 99% of us is failure

and go to radio sounds and the f# is the telephone sound made on champions

I was thinking it was to imply that he got shivers which I took to be like a positive feeling. like the first time you see a pretty girl or guy, ya know. and I couldn't really put it together with the next line

listened to it again. I think i can hear children laughing and/or screaming during a small part of it. The rest still sounds like a swarm of pidgeons clucking.

i am pretty sure on "Champions" that they are all laughing tracks taken from garage band... the "pigeon" one sounds really drowned out.. maybe it was modified in pitch or slowed down or something?

that's what I thought I heard the first time: children laughing or something... but the other kinda of noise... I can't identify it! ;)

I was fairly certain it was a looped recording of someone laughing maniacally, kinda mwahahaha over top of playground noise with children and the like doing what they do. Never really thought it sounded like birds.

what do they say at the beginning and also in some parts of the song with that kinda 'metalic voice' or 'telephone voice'? Can anyone please write those words for me here?
