With almost 39% , Moon Over Marin is off, which i'm not happy about. but for all those that were lobbying to get rid of the covers, mission accomplished. it should be interesting to see what goes from here..ill keep polls open until sunday evening-ish.

I am torn as to which I did not like the most, so for the second time i voted for Black Helicopter, but I am really surprised that 3 people voted for Odette, that is one of the stronger tracks, and one of my favorites on the cd.

Black Helicopter. It doesn't seem like a personal song like the others do, and the voice sampling is irritating in this one.

The Devil's in Your Details would be a good rock song if the production of it wasn't so pussy sounding. Probably would be good with a full band live.

i think devil is the obvious choice here. it is the only song remaining not completely written by matt. however i am worried about odette, a personal favourite, as it it seems to be next on the outs.

Probably The Boy Come Home for me, but it's really a toss up between a lot of tracks. I wasn't even 100% sure when I voted for TDIYD.

i would sorta agree with that. This is a great album by Matt because of the lyrics. But musically, the album is somewhere in the middle or near bottom of his career.

 

honestly, "Champions of Nothing" & "True Love..." are the only songs that make me go "wow".

I think this whole thing would work a lot better if the results weren't posted until the end of each round.

thats why i didnt want to do it as a poll but rather with people just writing in their votes (like has been done in the matt good march madness-style thing that was done a couple years ago with all of his songs), but crusader suggested it be done this way, so here we are. its still enjoyable though.

Who cares? You still can't see the results before you vote unless you null your vote, which is what matters.

ahh i take that back, its a better album musically than i gave credit. Listened to the whole album again today. Only songs i skipped were The Boy Come Home & "Devil's In Your Details".

I think Matt's done a terrific job with this album, and its one of the reason why we're all having such a problem getting rid of songs.

 

I think Odette should be the next to go, and that still makes me sad
