Monkeys from space.

I was a clown at school today. Check ze picture thread.

That's weird Satty. I'm listening to Ghostbusters as I see that picture. Coincidence? Probably.
-
Tempting, but 850 is a lot, and I don't live in Vanouver. It does sound nice though, and the fact that it's two bedroom virtually assures that you'll find a buyer, though probably not on the bored.
-
Yeah, you nailed it. You Are Here is probably his most pure 'love song.'
-
Yeah that is brilliant. I'm gonna do that on Tuesday at school and take full credit for the idea. ;)

That quote is from a long time before the dune books. I'm pretty sure Winston Churchill or something said it.

I dunno. I think I like Razorblade Suitcase and The Science of Things better. -

Luv(sic) is the best title for a song I've ever seen. It works on like, 3 levels. -
I thoguht you felt pretty nice ;)

Isn't that Matt who does backup on Alarm Bells? Right around 1:11? Ryan: So get out... Matt: Get out... Edit: And yeah, the drumming is very minimalist. Apparently they got to the studio and Ryan told the drummer "no cymbals" or something like that. There's still some in there, but they are scarce.
-
Hahahahaha. That actually is rather excellent.
-
Yeah, never really understood that either. I think most of his best work is among those early demos. Euphony, 15 Hours, Left of Normal... If you combined those 3 albums, you'd have the best record of all time. Edit: Broken is OK too, but there's too much shit on it. Maybe if you just took Folk Singer, Birds Don't Fly Straight etc.
-
Looking at all his work again, I think I can safely say that 15 Hours is my favoruite album. only 8 songs, but they are all brilliant.
-
Wow, it sounds like an interesting trip. I don't wanna say "amazing" because there was a lot of shit going on in there, but you'll definately always remember it. Have the cousin and girlfriend made up?
-
I hear you can teach them to do stuff.

Blind Guardian - A Night At the Opera Fuel - Natural Selection (not a great CD, but leagues ahead of their other stuff.) Matchbox Twenty - Mad Season Metric - Grow Up and Blow Away Holy shit! Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime. Not even close. Talk Talk - The Color of Spring -
If they had better actors for the first one, it woulda been pretty cool. The second one was just mindless stupid fun, but it didn't really pretend to be anything else (the plot was SO weak), so I don't have a problem with the series.
-
I'm going to see it again. I need to know for sure what happens with that plot element.
-
Really? I'm a big fan of Machine Gun. I think the weakest song on that album is either Strange Days or Load Me Up, in terms of what I most often skip. Going All the Way and Let's Get It On are close contenders too. But every other song is brilliant.

Of Simon and Garfunkel, the one that is NOT Garfunkel. I garfunkled your mother.

Man I love those old 'Celebrity Jeopardy' Skits on SNL. Connery: I'll take Household Objects for 100. *Trebek holds up a hammer* Connery: It's a popsicle! Bjork: *unintelligible BS* Trebek: It's a friggin hammer! Connery: you only know that cuz you have a card in front of you! This guy gets all his answers from a card!

SPOILER (Highlight to View) That's kind of stupid. I liked my version better, where he just used the machine somehow. Makes more sense.

Pony Boy Should Have Been The First Single.
Prometheon replied to Shortcut To Moncton's topic in Matthew Good
Well Pony Boy was on IAC, and you got All Together as well if you got it on iTunes. People have been bugging him to do an 'official' history teacher style release, but he says he doesn't want to because he hates the old demos. -
Holy shit! It was SO good. I strongly, strongly reccomend it. There were a few truly jaw-dropping moments. Don't read this spoiler if you haven't seen it, but this one thing is bugging me: SPOILER (Highlight to View) Christian Bale's character: at the end he gets executed, and then his double comes and kills Hugh Jackman. Was his double just some guy that looked like him, or did he use the machine at some point to make a copy of himself?
