I had a beat poet do a guest lecture for one of my poetry classes. He was terrible. Helmet - Almost Out of Sight. Helmet is one of those bands that was cutting edge and good when they were around, but listening to them now, they sound like every other "new" band because of how derivative their sound has become.

I really enjoyed the first Batman Begins, and I love Christian Bale, but the trailer for this new one left me feeling very underwhelmed.

I really dug their song "Under the Milky Way" which was in Donnie Darko, so I got the album it's from, Starfish, and it's pretty good. Solid, if not unremarkable rock. Any fans? Edit: My picks from the record are Under the Milky Way, North South East and West, Reptile, and Spark.

I pretty much agree. I thouroughly enjoyed the film, though the ending was a little meh.

Owen - Bad News I don't like this thread when all people do is post the song they're listening to. What's the point if no one is ever going to read it? I think we should all put a little tidbit about the sogn so at least it's semi-interesting. Here's one: Yeah, there's a band called Owen. I think it's only one guy actually. And his name isn't Owen. So weird.

He looks like a "Ted" I think. Or Bob. A three letter name, for sure. Pillow Ted? Edit: Also, that whole "its" "it's" thing pisses me off. Apostrophes are supposed to be possessive.
